وی اظهارداشت : در بحث ناوگان ریلی در مشهد نیز دولت نهم و دهم بیش از 85 درصد اعتبارات پروژه قطار شهری كه 13 سال ساخت آن ادامه داشت ، تامین شده است .

وی گفت : همچنین توسعه ایستگاه قطار شهری مشهد و شروع فاز دوم و سوم آن و توسعه ترمینال مشهد در دست انجام است كه بخشی از اعتبارات آن در قالب طرحهای 'مهر ماندگار' تخصیص خواهد یافت.

وی اظهارداشت : توسعه ترمینال فرودگاه مشهد به وسعت شش هزار متر مربع از دیگر طرحهاست .

وزیر كشور گفت: دولت در سالهای گذشته كمك خوبی به شهرداری مشهد در زمینه حمل و نقل داشته است و متوسط رشد اعتبارات و كمك ها به شهرداری حدود 72 درصد بوده است .

وی گفت : مراحل تصویب چند ناحیه منفصل شهری مانند توس ، قرقی و برجی در حوالی مشهد در حال انجام است كه در صورت نهایی شدن ، زیر مجموعه مدیریت شهری قرار خواهد گرفت.

وی در باره حاشیه نشینی شهر مشهد نیز اظهارداشت : وجود 900 هزار نفر جمعیت حاشیه نشین در این شهر مشكلاتی را بوجود آورده است و تلاش می شود توسط شهرداری و با كمك نیروی انتظامی از این معضل بر طرف شود.

وی گفت : 85 درصد واحدهای ساخته شده در حاشیه شهر مشهد غیر مقاوم و بدون مجوز است و 90 درصد آنها از نظر مالكیت، قولنامه ای است كه باید از این روند جلوگیری شود.

وزیر كشور در مورد مسكن مهر نیز گفت : در حال حاضر 55 هزار واحد مسكن مهر در مشهد در دست ساخت است كه اتمام این واحدها بخش مهمی از نیازها را برطرف می كند.

وی در باره كشف رود و آلودگی هایی كه در این خصوص وجود دارد، گفت : هماهنگی هایی با شهرداری برای زیبا سازی و پوشش مسیر این رودخانه فصلی و رفع آلودگی آن صورت گرفته است .
